Stockton, California is one of the fastest growing regions in California. Not only is Stockton the 13th largest city in California but it is one of the most vibrant, mixed and multi-cultural population. In 1999 and 2004, Stockton was designated an “All-America City” by the National Civic League. Stockton is located alongside the San Joaquin Delta waterway which joins the San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. It is home to the University of the Pacific (California’s oldest university), California State University Stanislaus-Stockton, San Joaquin Delta Community College and Humphreys College and School of Law.

There is huge variety of entertainment for all crowds in the city of Stockton. Stockton’s historical landmarks include Weber Point, the Burial Place of John Brown, and the Temporary Detention Camps for Japanese Americans. Among its art venues are Elsie Mae Goodwin Gallery, Haggin Museum, and Tidewater. Performing arts centers include Stockton Civic Theatre, Stockton Opera Association, and Stockton Symphony. Other Stockton attractions include the Children’s Museum, Clever planetarium, Pixie Woods, Ports Baseball, Smiler’s Playhouse and Silver Lake High Sierra Family Camp. Tourists also enjoy the area parks, specifically Atherton.

Asparagus Festival, Temple Israel Food Fair, Children & Youth Day 2008, Pub Crawl, Downtown Stockton Certified Farmers Market, Downtown Art Walk, and Summer Concerts in the Park are just a few of the annual events in the city Stockton, California. The Asparagus Festival attracts over 100,000 people each year and was named “Best of the West” Food Fest in 2000.
