Healings in Motion is a patient-driven agency. Medical professionals, caregivers, survivors and others interested in brain health attend.
Each month at our Lunch and Learn , we offer a healthy lunch and a sugar-free drink, We network, share information, grow and work on becoming whole and to prevent illness. We encourage one another, listen, share and provide an environment comfortable to cry, laugh and show other expressions of release. Medical treatment and/or therapy needed? February 22: Breanna Garrison, Stroke Coordinator/Neuro Clinical Specialist, Doctor's Medical Center, Modesto, Ca. The topic is: "Stroke Care Guidelines, Treatment Timeline Goals, Quality Initatives" . There will be time for Q & A.
March 28: Ernest Yankee, VP, Development and Regulatory Affairs at San Bio. Dr. Yankee will focus on Brain Stem Therapy Clinical Trials.
April 25: Dr. Russell Rottacker & Dr. Thomas B. McNemar (pending) will discuss new procedures to control migraine headaches
May 23: STROKE AWARENESS DAY: A Variety of speakers and displays and stroke symmilation
June 27: Carol Howard Wooten, Family & Marriage Counselor, Brain Stem and Cerebelar Stroke Survivor. Carol is the founder of "Keeping Hope Alive" and she will discuss the healing power of Storytelling
July 25: Integrative Therapies, A variety of short presentations on progams including Acupressure. Message Therapy, Accupunture, Aroma Therapy and more...
August 22: Brenda Morris, A Certified Professional Organizer.
October 24: Robert Hanyak, Au.D., CCC-A, Associate Professor, Department Chair of Speech-Language Pathology.
