CA's newest shopping district is conveniently located off Interstate 5 and borders San Bernardino County, Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. Anchor tenants include Whole Foods Market, Target, Wal-Mart and R.I.P. Home Depot, which has more than 200 stores, including more than 100,000 square feet of retail space and more than 1,500 parking spaces. Stockton has many small shopping malls that offer a wide variety of food and beverages as well as retail space. The shopping centre has ample parking and great monuments and signage, anchored by a large car park, a parking lot and plenty of retail space. The commercial part of Thornton Road starts at Pacific Avenue (just one block away) and then jumps to Davis Road, then becomes residential and extends to Stanfield Road, where it becomes commercial again. These units have access to busy Waterloo Road and a number of car parks and multi-storey car parks on the east and west sides of the road. It starts at Pacific Street at the southern end of Pershing Plaza and extends to the west side of Stanfields Road and ends at Davis Road to the north. Then it jumps onto Davis Street and becomes a commercial section of San Francisco Avenue, the only block of which are residential buildings. Then it goes on to California Avenue and Stan Field Road (which becomes a residential area), then California Street and into the city of Stockton.

Pershing Plaza itself is a strip mall in Stockton's Robinhood on Pershing Avenue, south of the city's central business district, near the intersection of California Avenue and San Francisco Avenue.

One person was taken to hospital for unknown injuries, but no arrests were made. Stockton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for violence at the mall. Officers were called to Weberstown Mall to help security at shopping centres deal with a disturbance involving 150 to 200 youths.
